Natural Spark
This was the first piece I wanted to make for myself out of a need, a want, a desire to have something in my space that I could use and was true to my personal aesthetics.
The actual act of picking up this smooth cylinder-base and striking the green match-head always seems to remind me of how important it is to pause for a moment, to slow down, to sit and reflect.

"Handmade in my home studio during a time of creative repression. I channeled a lack of inspiration from one medium and trans-mutated it into a foreign exploration using raw materials. Higher State
I've always been someone who's really interested in using the things that are right in front of me and trying to create something new out of them (perhaps this from playing with Legos® as a child and always going rogue from what was pictured on the box).
This weighted dish is the result of taking two parts and integrating them into one solid piece. The merging of two separates and turning them into a whole will forever be a theme in my work, and in my personal journey.

Pillow Talk
This was by far the hardest piece to produce because there was no starting point or mold. I had to get creative and start playing with unfamiliar ways to actualize the vision I saw in my head.
Finally getting this to a place that looked and felt solid while still showing the fragility of the cracks and filled-in holes really made me feel quite emotional. It reminded me of how long it took for me to feel safe in my vulnerability and intimacy. How long it took for me to use my words to gently express hard things.
Now there isn't a day I don't charge my phone and acknowledge just how powerful I am.

Ashes To Ashes
As someone who supports local artisans, I tend to burn my favorite handmade incense on a daily bases but also wanted to be an active participate in the ritual. I knew I wanted to create a vessel that could evoke a feeling within me that validates my right to hold myself in the same regard as the people I admire.
I also use these dishes to hold my keys and rings and absolutely love them.

Offering Tray
This was the first piece that I had in mind to serve as a gift to my friends and loved ones. I created this offering tray as an offering of gratitude for their love, support and belief in me and my dreams. The first batch came personalized and was such a beautiful experience to see their reactions and how they used them around their homes. There is no gift like the one of thought, and there's a certain charge that one gets when it comes in a handmade form.

Twin Flame
As someone who absolutely loves candles, not only for the aesthetic of them but also the mood they create when lit, I knew I needed to make my own candlestick bases.
One base is lower and one is higher to express the polarity of energy. We are all dynamic and different yet we are all equal.
When candles are inserted, they stand at an equal height to signify balance and equality.

Inspiration
I've always adored industrial design, architecture and home decor but I've never had an opportunity to explore these interests, so I made one. I got my hands dirty and investigated raw materials that I've never used before, and like a child, I played with them through curiosity and imagination.
Affirmation
This project was yet another affirmation that we really can make anything we want. I knew absolutely nothing about building things with my hands or using a physical material as a vessel for creation. Through numerous experiments and failed attempts, the unfamiliar became familiar.
Materials
Once you mix the materials this beautiful dance starts to emerge between powder, water, time and man. This has been such a vivid reminder that all is interconnect and all will recycle back to raw material. -- At the end of a lifespan, all returns back to dust.
Cement
The raw cement starts in a fine powder form and is left untreated once it's mixed, molded and set. This gives the product the opportunity to age and take on new characteristics over time. Be kind, treat it well and let it age as perfectly as you do.
Water
The water used in the mixture is sourced straight from the Pacific Ocean, Malibu beach to be exact. Because this beach has such a special place in my spirit, I wanted to share with you, the positive charge that it shares with me.
Human
Because this is a true hand-made offering by me in my little home workshop, each offering is limited and has its own unique charm. Every piece has its own personality and mood and just like us, the imperfections are what makes them beautiful.
