I honestly haven’t shot film in ages, and by ages, I’m talking over a year. That’s a long period of time to not do something that you love doing and I wasn’t sure if I still had “it”. As you can imagine I was pretty nervous to take out the Contax 167MT and load a roll of Portra at my shoot with Logan but I’m glad I did. I can see where I’m rusty and what I need to work on but there’s no feeling like the feeling you get when you go through film scans and see a good frame that you captured. No editing, no adjusting, just a moment frozen exactly how you remember it at the time. That’s the magic of photography in its purest form.

Thank you to the Dark Room Film Lab for processing my film.
