When it comes to vlogging or capturing my B-roll footage, the Rode Wireless Go is beyond amazing. It’s so small and sleek and isn’t distracting like walking around with a wind-shielded mic. This small gadget allows you to walk around in stealth mode while delivering amazing sound that really enhances your viewers experience.
I had a solid weekend shopping at The Outlets at Orange where I found a couple of awesome pieces. We decided to hit The Labafter, I haven’t been there in ten years so the nostalgia was real and the compound is still as cool and creative as I remember. For the most part everyone was stylish and extremely friendly. Sunday was the day to give praise to the creator and to celebrate life in Malibu with a vegan steak platter and sparkling water at Malibu Farm. Overall I had an absolutely fantastic weekend and I’m beyond grateful that I’m able to do the things that I enjoy.
I’ve always wanted to find a Chanel® piece thrifting but consistently come up short. Over the years I’ve felt like I was hunting a unicorn, an elusive creature that I would never find. That all changed last week when I finally found a beautiful pair of CC trousers.
This is video #2 on my channel. I’m still working out the production and how to get over my stage fright but it’s getting there. Don’t forget to subscribe, like, share, kiss a baby.. all of that jazz.
I’ve wanted the Saint Laurent® Baby Cat sneakers since they came out in like 2015 but could never find them in my size. I saved a search in my alerts and somehow stumbled upon the 2020 version and got them for an insane price. I can’t wait to record my next episode of Deals & Steals because I don’t think you’ll believe what I paid.
From the young Kate Moss to the legendary cast of characters, this candid doc will surely inspire you to want to pick up your camera and start shooting.
I went to the new Dries Van Noten® store this weekend and boy was it a thing of beauty. Nestled within the old Opening Ceremony building and the even older Charlie Chaplin studio, the DVN team did an absolutely remarkable job turning this WeHo landmark into a hub of pure creativity. Walking through the over 8,000 square feet you can’t help but to be hit with huge gusts of inspiration and admiration for the lines, colors, shapes, proportions, materials and art used within the two floors. It makes you feel like you’re walking through a maze of the designers mind and archival genius. I highly recommend everyone go and check it out, I promise you won’t leave disappointed. Thank you to the lovely staff and Michael for helping me out and allowing me to shoot some footage while shopping.
P.s. I shot these images and video stills with the Sony ZV-1. This little camera is seriously a beast.
I feel like I didn’t get that much this weekend but the items that I did find are pretty insane. Starting from the authentic vintage Prada® and Fendi® bags from the early 90’s that I found at a West Hollywood yard sale to the authentic vintage Gucci® briefcase and Canon AE-1 camera. I was hoping to find more cameras but there’s always next week. After all of the haggling I spent $86 total for everything.
My Youtube channel is finally live. God, look at how low those numbers are, isn’t it amazing? There is very little in this world that beats the high I get from turning nothing into something. Give me a month, give me a year, give me five. I don’t know how long it will take to turn this into what I envision but one thing is certain, I haven’t been this excited in a long time! There is no time like the present and there is nothing and no one standing in the way of you and your ideas except for yourself. Get up and be creative. Even if no one pays attention, the fact that you followed through with your desires is already a success story.
