It’s very interesting how we live in an era where we’re all self-proclaimed documentarians. We walk around with our faces fixated on a screen while trying to maneuver cinematically in a way that makes every day life become interesting to an audience of individuals we’ve never met. I would say majority of the world has a vlog (video log for those whom are still living in the analog stratosphere) where they see their reality through pixels rather than the actual retina they where born with. I could go on forever about how this is breeding a society of individuals who simply like to see themselves existing in a world of “thumbs ups” and “subscribers” and “likes” rather than actually living in the first-person spectrum. As much harm as this has done I can’t neglect the opposite side of this media induced narcissistic tsunami that captures moving images like a visual scrapbook of peoples lives that will live on long after they’re gone. Just like every self-induced evil of the world, there is a antidote that does bring comfort to the human soul, such as those who share their outlook in a way that impacts people or adds value to their lives. Nevertheless, we felt the need to voice these views, whether good or bad, in a way that demands thought. Let’s be honest, how many times have you been out to dinner and the whole table is looking at their phones rather than each other? How many times have you wanted to share a special moment with someone you love but you’re interrupted by the arm in the sky and red blinking light? Our whole point is, put down the device momentarily and spend time in a physical social setting where you can truly feel the human experience.

These were gifted to me which is kind of weird because I never really got on the whole Yeezy wave. Not saying that I don’t like them, I’ve just always felt like they didn’t go with my personal aesthetic and lets face it, every fuckboy over 25 who still collects toys will most-likely have these displayed as a shrine in their apartment. Hey, if that’s your thing, I’m not judging. I too used to collect Medicom when I was a teenager. Anyway, rather than being negative and an asshole (I’m really working on my inner serenity and trying to make it applicable in all area’s of my life and outlook) I’ll just talk about the positives. First, they’re Boost® and that is something that my feet will happily make love to. They just get all up in there and wiggle around and unpack their bags and make it a happy home. Boost® is honestly the highest example of what comfort should be in the footwear apparel industry. Adidas, you fucking made every other shoe conglomerate your kids once you released this technology, bravo. Next, I dig the whole weaved moccasin thing but the hovercraft sole is really weird to me. I know Kanye is known for thinking outside of the box and being an innovator but this sole still hasn’t morphed itself into my creative imagination to the point where I’m like “oh shit, I totally get it”. Nevertheless it is something unique and perhaps that’s the only bullet-point that needs to be comprehended. To come to a full climax and to speak from an entrepreneur standpoint, my favorite thing about what this shoe has done is “boost” (see what I did there) the obtainability of monetary gains to the independent individual. In other words, it feeds the reseller’s. Some will frown upon this term but it’s an absolute necessity in order to balance the sustainability of the markets underbelly. Inevitably it’s these individuals that are learning strategies and lessons that can catapult them to future self-liberated financial freedom, and I can’t think of a better example of the true definition of the “American dream”. Self made, self paid.

Thanks Wex for everything and for reposting these photos on your IG story. You’ve always been super nice to us over here and someone I truly admire.

First of all, we would like to say sorry for our site crashing yesterday. We finally got everything back up and running a couple of hours ago thanks to the IT gods that expanded the capacity of our bandwidth and now allows more traffic to hit at once. Secondly, thank you for crashing our site! That’s fucking awesome that you guys want to check on us and see what we have when a release hits. Stay tuned as we’ll be releasing new pieces all week (and a few other surprises).
